Dear CLARIN-IT Members,

the CLARIN Centre Committee intends to carry out a survey on the management of sensitive data in CLARIN Centres.

By "data in the CLARIN Centres" we mean both the data already present in the archives of the CLARIN Research Infrastructure (which, for the Italian Consortium, are ILC4CLARIN and ERCC) and the data managed by projects involving colleagues from various institutions connected to the Italian Consortium not yet deposited in the CLARIN Research Infrastructure.

The CLARIN Centre Committee is interested in understanding how this data is managed: for example, types of licenses used, releases, solutions adopted and problems encountered.

The basic idea is that a problem found in one country can be solved with a solution found in another country (and vice versa). Italian laws, for instance, seem to be quite strict, so a solution found in Italy could probably be extended to other countries.

We kindly invite you to participate in this survey by sending a file containing the following information to riccardo.delgratta@ilc.cnr.it by 16th November 2021:

TYPE OF PROJECT (European / National / Regional / Other), TYPE OF DATA MANAGED, PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED, SOLUTIONS FOUND, LICENSES ADOPTED AND DATA SHARING LEVEL (PUBLIC / ACADEMIC / PRIVATE / OTHER) IN CLARIN RI [YES (where) | NO].

Cari Membri di CLARIN-IT,

il Comitato dei Centri di CLARIN intende effettuare un'indagine relativa alla gestione dei dati sensibili nei Centri di CLARIN.

Per "dati nei Centri di CLARIN" si intendono sia i dati già presenti negli archivi dell'Infrastruttura di Ricerca CLARIN (che, per il Consorzio Italiano, sono ILC4CLARIN ed ERCC) sia i dati gestiti da progetti che coinvolgono colleghi di diverse istituzioni collegate al Consorzio Italiano non ancora depositati nell'Infrastruttura di Ricerca CLARIN.

Il Comitato dei Centri di CLARIN è interessato a capire come vengono gestiti questi dati: ad esempio, tipologie di licenze utilizzate, liberatorie, soluzioni adottate e problemi riscontrati.

L'idea di base è che un problema riscontrato in un paese possa essere risolto con una soluzione trovata in un altro paese (e viceversa). Le leggi italiane, ad esempio, sembrano essere abbastanza rigide, per cui una soluzione trovata in Italia probabilmente potrebbe essere estesa ad altri paesi.

Vi invitiamo gentilmente a partecipare a quest'indagine, inviando a riccardo.delgratta@ilc.cnr.it entro il 16 novembre 2021 un file contenente le seguenti informazioni:
