[Members-CLARIN-IT] Survey on the Management of Sensitive Data in CLARIN Centres - Call for Participation

=============== ENG =============== Dear CLARIN-IT Members, the CLARIN Centre Committee intends to carry out a survey on the management of sensitive data in CLARIN Centres. By "data in the CLARIN Centres" we mean both the data already present in the archives of the CLARIN Research Infrastructure (which, for the Italian Consortium, are ILC4CLARIN and ERCC) and the data managed by projects involving colleagues from various institutions connected to the Italian Consortium not yet deposited in the CLARIN Research Infrastructure. The CLARIN Centre Committee is interested in understanding how this data is managed: for example, types of licenses used, releases, solutions adopted and problems encountered. The basic idea is that a problem found in one country can be solved with a solution found in another country (and vice versa). Italian laws, for instance, seem to be quite strict, so a solution found in Italy could probably be extended to other countries. We kindly invite you to participate in this survey by sending a file containing the following information to riccardo.delgratta(a)ilc.cnr.it by 16th November 2021: TYPE OF PROJECT (European / National / Regional / Other), TYPE OF DATA MANAGED, PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED, SOLUTIONS FOUND, LICENSES ADOPTED AND DATA SHARING LEVEL (PUBLIC / ACADEMIC / PRIVATE / OTHER) IN CLARIN RI [YES (where) | NO]. Per "dati nei Centri di CLARIN" si intendono sia i dati già presenti negli archivi dell'Infrastruttura di Ricerca CLARIN (che, per il Consorzio Italiano, sono ILC4CLARIN ed ERCC) sia i dati gestiti da progetti che coinvolgono colleghi di diverse istituzioni collegate al Consorzio Italiano non ancora depositati nell'Infrastruttura di Ricerca CLARIN. [Members-CLARIN-IT] 1st GoTriple Hackathon (MS Teams, 08-10/11/2021+15-16/11/2021)

Dear CLARIN-IT Members, weare pleased to invite you to participate in the *First **GoTriple Hackathon*, which will take place *through MS Teams on 8**th**, 9th, 10**th***, ***15**th**and 16**th**November 2021* and will be preceded by a Preparatory Meeting scheduled for 3rd November 2021. The goal of the GoTriple Hackathon is the improvement of the coverage of the Library of Congress Subject Heading (LCSH) in the GoTriple vocabulary. Subject headings are specific words or phrases which are used in order to categorize and organize books and articles. The LCSH is perhaps the most widely adopted subject indexing system in the world and has been translated into many languages. Despite the fact that LCSH is the most translated Subject Headings System, there are discipline-specific vocabularies (i.e. selected lists of words which are used for the organization of knowledge) that have not yet been correlated to the LCSH. The challenge for the groups that will take part in the GoTriple Hackathon is to find solutions to the problem of mapping between vocabularies in the languages that are represented in the TRIPLE Project (Croatian, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish) and LCSH. Participation is open to software programmers with a dedicated interest in vocabularies, programming librarians, non-IT specialists working with managing vocabularies, people working in repositories and, of course, researchers.
